FAQ

Does compression hurt image quality?
JPG/WebP are lossy formats, but at around 80% quality the difference is barely visible; PNG is lossless and mainly shrinks via resizing.
Why did the file get bigger after compression?
If the original is already a highly compressed format (like a low-quality JPG), re-encoding can inflate it — lower the quality or shrink the dimensions instead.
