What is What Is My IP?

Whitelisting, checking whether a proxy works, or confirming your exit IP all start with knowing your public IP. This page reads the real source IP from the request headers on the server side and shows it together with browser-detected network details such as your User-Agent. It is the only tool on this site that involves the server (which can only see the IP you are already sending it), and lookups are never recorded.

How to Use

  1. Open the page — your current public IP is shown automatically
  2. Click the copy button to grab the IP

FAQ

Why is the shown IP different from what ifconfig reports?
Your machine sees an internal NAT address; this page shows the public exit IP assigned by your ISP.
Which IP shows when I use a proxy/VPN?
The proxy server's exit IP — which makes this a quick way to confirm your proxy is working.
Is my IP logged?
No. The endpoint only echoes back the IP your request carried; nothing is stored or logged.
